Update and Ajahn Brahm's talk

Dear friends,

Warm greetings from CUBS! We hope you are having a peaceful Easter break. Here's an update from your Committee 07/08. We are now in the midst of planning for the activities in Easter term. Among them are managing stress workshops (one specially catered for those who are taking examination in Easter term and the other one for graduate students), Dhamma discussions, Buddhist hymn singing, Buddhist Circle, a garden party and many more. Details will be sent out to you in the beginning of the term. We hope you would continue to support us in the next term.

Calendar

*Meditation Day*

By popular demand, we are going to hold a meditation event!

On Sunday 21st February, four teachers from four different Buddhist schools will teach meditation for one hour each. You can come for the whole event or just for one slot, it's completely up to you.

The whole thing will last from 10am until 4pm, and it will be in the Butler House Party Room of Trinity College (this is in Burrell's Field on Grange Road).

10am David Hall - Samatha (calm abiding) meditation (The Samatha Trust)
11am Dharmachari Yashodaka - Loving Kindness meditation and Mindfulness of Breathing (Friends of the Western Buddhist Order)
12pm Break for lunch
1pm Richard Potter - Serene Reflection Meditation (Soto Zen)
2pm David Brown - Chan meditation
3pm Tea and chat

This is a rare chance to experience different styles of meditation in one event, so be sure to put it in your diary now!
